JUST IN: Nigerian Senate Suspends Plenary Over Coronavirus

The Nigerian Senate has suspended plenary for two weeks as part of measures to prevent spread of Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
The upper legislative chamber urged the Nigerian Government to devote special funds to fight the virus.
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, disclosed the development after a closed-door session of senators.
The lawmakers also mourned a female colleague, Rose Oko, who died in the United Kingdom while receiving treatment.
