Lagos Government Asks AMVCA Attendees To Self-Isolate After Guest Tests Positive For Coronavirus

The Lagos State Government has asked every person, who attended the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award, which held on March 14, 2020 at Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, to self-isolate after one of the guests tested positive for Coronavirus.
Commissioner for Health in Lagos, Prof Akin Abayomi, made the announcement in a Twitter post on Tuesday.
He said, “I hereby notify you that all participants at the African Magic viewers’ Choice Award held on March 14 at Eko Hotels may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases in Lagos and are most likely to have been exposed to #COVID19 infection.
“Attendees at the said event are therefore advised to observe strict self- isolation, call our toll-free line 08000corona if they notice any of the #COVID19 related symptoms.
“Let’s #TakeResponsibility by practicing #SocialDistancing to prevent the spread of the virus.”
