Kate Middleton style: How Duchess hides her bra and underwear lines

The Duchess of Cambridge has become a style icon since she joined the Royal Family, and rarely puts a foot wrong in both the fashion stakes or in adhering to royal etiquette. However, there’s one wardrobe choice she makes that would explain her elegant and immaculate style. A royal expert has revealed the secret to her look.
Whether she’s wearing a sheer designer dress or a slim-fitting high street number, the Duchess will never have a visible pant line (VPL) or bra straps on show.
Posting on Instagram, royal etiquette expert Myka Meier has revealed how the mother of three stays looking so polished.
Meier wrote: “Royal Style Hack Alert. Ever wonder why you never see bra straps?! Swipe to see a secret trick which is a must-have royal wardrobe piece!”
The slides then showed Kate Middleton pictured at Ascot in a pale blue dress with sheer panels around the shoulders, as well as the underwear style the Duchess would be wearing underneath.

As well as the seam-free shapewear, the expert said there are other ways that the Duchess would keep undergarments well hidden.
In some cases the bra might even be sewn into the piece, while for others Kate would wear seamless knickers or shapewear to avoid a VPL in trousers or a tight dress.
The etiquette expert said John Lewis has a range of shapewear and is known to be a royal’s go-to brand.
Myka is the author of a bestselling book called Modern Etiquette Made Easy, and was trained under a member of the Queen’s Royal Household.
Her followers quickly wanted to know how they can copy Kate’s clever underwear trick.
“The brand I like is called MiracleSuit and comes in all styles and colors and you just need to know your cup size! I got mine at @macys,” Myka told one fan.
The Beaumont Etiquette founder also said her go-to brand is available elsewhere: “I like the brand called MiracleSuit which also has some styles at Walmart and Amazon,” she commented.
One Australian follower also asked if the strapless style would work for those with a bigger bust.
Myka replied to the comment: “YES! I just recommend getting one that has a corset fitted into it. I have one of those too and it keeps everything up and supported.”
Others agreed that they already use the hack to keep underwear lines hidden just like the Duchess, with one commenting: “Oh yes! I have a Spanx one and could not live without it!”
Myka said the breathable material means it’s even bearable in hot weather, and it “snaps at the crotch like a baby onesie” so it’s not difficult when going to the toilet.
The New York-based now works as Etiquette Trainer at The Plaza, New York’s most prestigious hotel on the corner of Fifth Avenue.
