Melania Trump is the First Lady and wife of US President, Donald Trump. When Melania makes public appearances, she will usually showcase her fashionable designer wardrobe. An expert revealed how she has used her style choices to make sure she stands out.

When she is spotted with Donald, the First Lady has a simple way to ensure she stands out, Gianni Casagrande of shoe brand Moda in Pelle suggested.

He told Express.co.uk: “When it comes to Melania Trump, America’s First Lady, she is certainly sending a strong message of who she is via her sartorial choices.

“Melania is a fan of bold colours and tailoring, and isn’t afraid to stand out and wear something eye catching.”

Since becoming First Lady, Melania has worn a number of stand out pieces.

She is not afraid to choose bold looks and will regularly wear bright colours.

The mother-of-one is also a fan of fashion forward outfits including cape garments.

This look was notable when she travelled to the UK last year for a state visit.

Gianni added: “At a state dinner during last summer’s visit she wore a bright red Givenchy gown in a favourite cut of hers – the cape.

“Melania’s style choices demonstrate that she isn’t someone happy to fade into the background, and that she is confident in her position,” the expert continued.

“She is not afraid to strike a balance between elegant and sexy.

“Melania is always pairing any outfit with smouldering eye make-up and glamorous waves.”

As well as using her clothing choices to show her confidence, Melania will do so with her glamorous hair and make-up look.

It is no surprise the First Lady is confident making bold choices following her previous career as a successful model.

Languages

Mum-of-one Melania can speak more languages than any other First Lady before her: English, French, German, Italian, Serbian and of course her mother tongue, Slovenian.

This also makes her the only First Lady whose first language is not English.

Religion

After Jacqueline Kennedy, Melania is the second First Lady who is a practising Catholic.

She met Pope Francis as part of a foreign tour with her husband and stepdaughter Ivanka last year.

Career

Melania was a successful model, posing for Sports Illustrated, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and GQ.

Her skills aren’t confined to print, and she appeared in a commercial for Aflac, an American insurance company, in 2005.

Family

Melania’s parents are Amalija Knavs and Viktor Knavs, and the couple live together in Washington.

She has one sister, Ines, who is reported to live in New York and work as an artist.

Charity

On May 7 2018, Melania launched her flagship campaign as First Lady, BE BEST, which The White House describes as “an awareness campaign focused entirely around the well-being of children”.

There are three main strands to the initiative: well-being, social media, and opioid abuse.
