Sainsbury’s, Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, Aldi and Co-op: Amazon Prime home delivery on off

[ad_1]

Morrisons will extend its Amazon Prime Now service across the UK’s largest cities by the end of May. While many would never think to order groceries via Amazon, the coronavirus lockdown is making this commonplace.

While speedy deliveries are ramped up for the everyday shopper during lockdown, some are putting their efforts into helping the vulnerable.

Amid the COVID-19 lockdown, the elderly and those especially vulnerable to respiratory illness have been advised to stay inside.

However, this limits their ability to shop.

But now, supermarkets including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Marks and Spencer and Waitrose have signed up for a new delivery scheme to help vulnerable customers get food delivered quickly.

Morrisons has recently updated its rules on limits in stores.

This supermarket has limited high demand essentials too.

It said: “To ensure more customers have access to everyday essentials we are introducing a restriction of only 5 items per customer on every product line online.

“Where products are on a multi buy, e.g. 10 for £3, you can still enjoy the offer if you buy a combination of 10 products in the same offer but you will be limited to 5 of any variety in that offer.”
