MUBI movie releases: All new movies on MUBI in June | Films | Entertainment
[ad_1]
In June, MUBI will be launching some big new movies on its platform. How most movie platforms work is they have a selection of content always available, but MUBI is a little different. They have special releases alongside their rolling content, and June will be no different.
For MUBI, every month 30 new movies are added to the platform.
With that being said, however, 30 movies are removed from the platform, so each movie is only on the platform for one month, making each fan far more desperate to make sure they see everything while it’s available.
These films also come in special selection groups, meaning each month sees movies which work thematically.
Here are our picks of the best movies, as well as the full list of new June releases.
Redoutable – arriving June 13
This movie gives fans an idea of how some of French cinema has come about, all through the lens of Oscar-winning Michel Hazanavicius.
Little Women’s Louis Garrel stars as revered director Jean-Luc Godard, as he tries to find his political identity in the 1960s and 1970s while courting his soon-to-be wife Anne Wiazemsky.
The film was selected to compete at the Cannes Film Festival, and was given good reviews by critics.
8 ½ – arriving June 20
8 ½ is considered one of the most influential avant-garde films in cinema history.
The movie, directed by Federico Fellini, follows a fictional, famous Italian film director who suffers from stifled creativity as he attempts to direct an epic science fiction film.
It became a double Oscar-winner and amazed fans, and has gone down in history as one of the greatest films of all time.
