Aldi brings back sell-out Christmas hampers – here’s what is inside

[ad_1]

Aldi discount retailer has launched its Christmas hampers early this year, with the range being sold online. With different food and beverages inside each one, the hampers proved to be extremely popular last year so those who want to get their hands on these hampers should do so now to avoid disappointment.

There are seven different themes to choose from this year with prices starting at just £19.

The cheapest of the hampers is The Christmas Favourites Hamper which is available online at £19.41.

In total there are five goodies inside including a bottle of Specially Selected Argentinian Malvec, Iced Fruit Cake, Moser Roth Salted Caramel Truffles, a Chocolate Florentine Selection and Strawberry & Champagne Preserve.

The discount retailer has also launched a vegan hamper which costs a reasonable £26.35.

The estimated dispatch date is November 11 but they are all available to pre-order today.

In The Vegan Hamper, there is a range of delicious treats including Strawberry Gourmet Gummy Candies, Chocolate Chip Vegan Cookies, Earl Grey Tea Bags, Moser Roth Strawberry Creams, Moser Roth Organic Dark Chocolate, Free-From Christmas Pudding, Medjoul Dates, Salted Caramel Vegan Truffles and a bottle of Estevez Chilean Merlot.

This selection comes in a small wicker hamper which can be used after as a picnic basket.

The Chocolate Celebration Hamper contains a range of chocolate goodies as is available to buy for £28.25.

From biscuits to truffles, the chocolate hamper is suitable for anyone with a sweet tooth.

The Afternoon Treats Selection Hamper contains all goodies associated with afternoon tea including shortbread, tea, coffee and marmalade.

This costs just £29.44 and fans have branded it as a dupe for the expensive Fortnum & Mason wicker hampers.

The other three are part of the luxury collection and prices range between £59.93 and £99.56.

These include a whole range of goodies including a Christmas cake, champagne and a set of jams.

For £99, you’ll get 25 goodies including three bottles of booze – Veuve Monsigny Champagne, Argentinian Malbec and A New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

You’ll also get a range of chocolate treats and clotted cream fudge as well as some savoury snacks including cheese crackers and chutneys.

Aldi is also set to sell all of the products individually in the build up towards Christmas but they have not released the prices of each product yet.

Unfortunately none of these will be available to pick up in-store as they are online exclusives.

Last year, the price of the hampers included delivery but this year, there is an extra £2.95 for the service of delivery to your front door.

According to recent research, Aldi was the cheapest UK supermarket last month.

Which? looked at the prices of 74 branded and own-label items at Aldi and Lidl as well as supermarket giants.

There was a huge difference between Aldi where customers would have paid £66.45 for a trolley full of 74 items compared to a whopping 105.25 at upmarket supermarket Waitrose.
