The former President’s second impeachment trial is due to start on February 9.

He is charged with “incitement of insurrection” following the riots which hit the US Capitol last month. Five people died as a result of unrest.

Now, Mr Trump has announced he will be defended by lawyers David Schoen and Bruce Castor.

It comes after three other lawyers, Butch Bowers, Deborah Barbier, and Joshua Howard, all parted ways with the former President in what was described as a “mutual decision”.
