Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall: Royal recycles tartan coat for first engagement of the year

[ad_1]

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, 73, and Prince Charles, 72, visited Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham today to thank volunteers undertaking clinical trials for the Covid-19 vaccine. It’s the first time the couple have undertaken an in person royal engagement this year and the Duchess opted for a bright colourful coat.

She paired the knee-length coat with a pair of high black boots, the same she had on today.

Black boots are a staple in Camilla’s wardrobe and she has worn this exact pair several times.

She also added her favourite handbag to the look.

Camilla’s small black bag is by DeMellier London and is known as the Mini Venice style.

Fans took to Twitter to express how happy they were to see the couple out and about again.

One person said: “Wonderful to see them!”

Another wrote: “How great to see them out and about! I hope we will see the Cambridges and other working royals having those kinds of engagements again soon.”

“Lovely to see them,” a third commented.

Just like Camilla, Kate Middleton is also a huge fan of tartan print jackets.

She has worn her green and navy designer coat on several occasions.

The Black Watch Tartan coat is from McQ, a diffusion line of one of her favourite brands of all time, Alexander McQueen.

It retails for £1,311 and just like Camilla, has been spotted wearing it several times.

She first wore the coat on St Andrew’s Day in 2012 visiting her old prep school.
