Speaking on Fergie & Friends, her Youtube channel, the Duchess of York called for compassion for all, with reference to the latest family member.
She said: “I believe everyone deserves respect and kindness, whether you’re just born, like my grandson, or whether it’s when you’re 110.
“Everyone is wise and everyone deserves respect and kindness and a smile.
“Says so much but costs very little.”
In a statement released on Saturday, the duchess said:”As grandparents, The Duke and I are thrilled and blessed at the arrival of our grandson August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.

“Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can’t express.
“We are excited to be able to share these photos with you.
“Thank you to the wonderful essential workers including our midwife who came to discharge our boy.”
Eugenie added the three pictures had been taken “by our wonderful midwife”.
