With the hook, the monarch is able to efficiently hang her handbag under tables.

Ms Bedell Smith also said in 2012 the Queen’s handbag usually contains reading glasses, mints and a fountain pen.

Some reports have also suggested the Queen carries some dog treats in her bag for her beloved pet Corgis.
