One Direction: Harry Styles denied his song was about Louis Tomlinson and ‘Larry’ | Music | Entertainment

After One Direction split up in 2015 Harry, along with the rest of the band, started writing and releasing solo music. Although the star wasn’t working with his former bandmates anymore, rumours still surfaced that he had a secret fling with another of the 1D boys. Fans became convinced he was hiding a secret love affair with Louis in a ship dubbed Larry Stylinson.
Larry (the merging of Harry and Louis’ names) has been a point of contention for the two singers since the early days of the band.
The rumours about the pair have even continued into their solo careers.
So much so that when Harry released his self-titled debut album in 2017 fans were quick to point out something odd about one of the tracks.
Sweet Creature, one of the star’s singles from the album, included lyrics which read: “And oh we started / Two hearts in one home / It’s hard when we argue / We’re both stubborn / I know, but oh.”

Further lines from the song say: “Sweet creature / We’re running through the garden / Oh, where nothing bothered us / But we’re still young / I always think about you and how we don’t speak enough.”
After the release of the track, Harry was asked if the song was really about Louis in an interview.
Dumbfounded, the star replied: “I mean, I think people are always gonna speculate what songs are about.
“And I don’t think I’d ever want to tell someone they’re wrong for feeling what they feel about a song.”
Speaking to The Sun, Louis confessed: “I’ve never actually been asked about it directly. It’s a funny thing. It kind of happened naturally for me and Harry because a certain amount of the fans drew up this conspiracy.”
“When it first came around I was with Eleanor, and it actually felt a little bit disrespectful to Eleanor, who is my girlfriend now.
“I’m so protective over things like that, about the people I love.
“So it created this atmosphere between the two of us where everyone was looking into everything we did.”
Louis went on: “It took away the vibe you get off anyone.
“It made everything, I think on both fences, a little bit more unapproachable.
“I think it shows that it was never anything real if I can use that word.”
