The Monarch is said to have found the Duke of Sussex’ remarks during his interview on the podcast Armchair Expert “hurtful”. During the conversation with host Dax Shepard, Harry likened his life as a royal with the Truman Show and also a zoo.
He said: “It’s a mix between The Truman Show and living in a zoo.
“The biggest issue for me was that, being born into it, you inherit the risk.
“You inherit every element of it without a choice.
“And because of the way the UK media are, they feel an ownership over you.”
A source told Us Weekly the Royal Family are not happy with Harry’s comments.
They said: “The Queen is unimpressed with Harry’s latest interview and found it hurtful. It hasn’t done their relationship any favours.”
They added that Prince William and the Prince of Wales are “livid too”.
During the 90-minute interview, Harry also opened up abut his relationship with his father, explaining that Charles had treated him “the way he was treated” and that he wanted to “break the cycle” of “pain and suffering”.
