In a short speech, Camilla told the families and staff, “I just wanted to thank all of you – all the staff and all the volunteers and all the parents and families, because I know how hard it is for them, but somehow this place has a way of sort of uplifting you.
“I know how well people are looked after, I know it cares and it encapsulates the whole family, it’s not just the child, it’s the parents who are looked after as well.”
Throughout the day, the emblazoned white detail on Camilla’s dress caught the eye of many, as she fit the part of a caring patron, there to sympathise with the families and their children.
One Instagram user wrote, “Camilla is a walking heart of gold. Beautiful person.”
Another said, “The Duchess of Cornwall is such a caring Royal and aims to reach as many children as she can with a lovely smile and hand gesture.”
