Princess Beatrice tied the knot with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi at Alls Saint Chapel in Windsor on July 17 last year. The 32-year-old royal became engaged a year prior and they had to reschedule their big day due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Less than a year after tying the knot, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child, who is due to be born this autumn.

Breaking the news on social media that the couple were engaged, Princess Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie said: “Beabea – wow! I’m so happy for you my dearest big sissy and dear Edo. It’s been a long time coming and you two are meant to be.”

She included a quote from the happy couple too, which read: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.

“We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to actually be married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”

Engagement ring specialist, Max Stone at Steven Stone, explained: “Princess Beatrice’s ring is an absolute stunner.

“A six claw round diamond takes centre stage, which looks to be around three carats.

“The round diamond shoulders two tapered baguettes, which gives the ring a vintage feel and Art Deco-inspired look.

“For added sparkle, the ring also features small pavé diamonds halfway around the band.

“From the images, it’s clear the diamonds are VVS grade, which means they have minuscule inclusions that are difficult even for trained eyes to see under 10x magnification.

“The diamonds look flawless.

“With this in mind, I would estimate the value of this ring to be around £130,000 to £140,000.

“Thanks to its royal legacy, this will no doubt increase in years to come.”

According to the expert, the ring is also very similar to her grandmother’s, the Queen, due to its Art Deco design, flanked by diamond panels.

What’s more, the engagement ring was designed by Edoardo himself so that he could create Beatrice’s perfect ring.

At the time the jeweller said: “I am so honoured Edoardo chose to work with me to design the engagement ring for Princess Beatrice and to have been involved in this special moment in their lives.

“The bespoke experience was a beautiful journey; from imagining the design with Edoardo to the crafting of the finished rings.

“Being able to incorporate both Edoardo and Princess Beatrice’s characters into the design resulted in a unique ring that represents their love and lives entwining.”
