The corporation has come under repeated fire for its coverage of the games. This included missing Team GB’s historic gymnastic medal on day four of the Toyko 2020 Olympics.
Many viewers were quick to slam Auntie’s coverage – claiming that they repeatedly missed key moments.
One viewer raged: “How does that help folk to see the Olympics – which in previous years the BBC has filmed all the events the GB team might be expected to do well in for their licence paying viewers to watch.
“I wanted to watch Jamie Murray in the tennis doubles but it just stopped part way through the second set.
“They played the ‘highlights’ of Andy Murray’s doubles where he & his partner beat the 2nd seeds, but left out the game where the GB pair broke their opponents serve that effectively won the match.
