Led Zeppelin official documentary title announced: ‘First time band interviewed for one’ | Films | Entertainment

Originally announced in 2019, the officially authorised Led Zeppelin documentary is now ready. Director Bernard MacMahon announced today that the feature film will be called Becoming Led Zeppelin. And the special project has seen band members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones grant “unprecedented access.”
This is the first and only time Led Zeppelin have participated in a documentary on their band in 50 years.
MacMahon said: “Becoming Led Zeppelin is a film that no one thought could be made.
“The band’s meteoric rise to stardom was swift and virtually undocumented.
“Through an intense search across the globe and years of restoration of the visual and audio archive found, this story is finally able to be told.”

While Becoming Led Zeppelin has been completed, a release date is yet to be announced.
Aside from the surviving three band members featuring as talking heads, the documentary film will include rare archive footage of drummer John Bonham, who died in 1980.
The project comes from the filmmakers who were behind the award-winning American Epic.
Last week, Plant shared how he’s been having dreams about his late son Karac and Bonham.
Plant also shared how he’s been in a really great place when he’s asleep sometimes.
The 72-year-old added: “And I’ve gone somewhere, and now I’ve got to get back to wherever it was and I’m making my way back through these amazing landscapes.”
He also spoke of the good company he’s had from neighbours during lockdown.
The star said: “[I was] really lucky because my next-door neighbour, who lives 100 feet from me – who played with me and Bonzo [Bonham] in the 1960s – he’s there. We’re part of a pod. And the farmer who was born in my place, whose family owned my place, he’s over the road and we’ve turned into the greatest pals – the card schools that go on forever!”
