The Team GB gold medalist went viral after he was seen making a pink and purple item during the three metre women’s springboard diving final on Sunday. The French Bulldog who lives in East Hampton, New York, and Washington, DC, has over one million followers on Instagram, where she showcases followers her outfits.

Izzy first shot to fame back in 2017 when a video of her enjoying having a bath at just five-weeks-old was viewed over 12 million times within 24 hours.

The young pup has since made her mark in the fashion world having been featured in Vogue and had dresses made by a former Christian Dior designer.

And Izzy’s owner Rick Hendrix said the pop will be showcasing the jumper at the Fashion Week. Speaking to TMZ he said: “I think we’re gonna include it in her fashion week. Maybe walk in New York next time it’s all safe and we can get out again!”

Rick said him and Tom had a conversation about knitting but had no idea that the Olympian was knitting for his dog.

Fans of Izzy can purchase merchandise on her official website ranging from T-shirts, hoodies and a steel water bottle.

Posting on his Instagram page dedicated to crafting, @madewithlovebyytomdaley, Tom revealed that he picked up the hobby during the lockdown last year, admitting in a post in September 2020 that he has become “obsessed”.

Viewers and broadcasters were left guessing what the 27-year-old was knitting as he sat in the stands of the Tokyo Aquatics Centre.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the diving champion shared several photos of other dog jumpers he has created for all shapes and sizes.

He said: “I made my friends some doggy jumpers! It is the cutest little pattern to follow by @knittingland. How cute do they all look?! I was making another one at the pool yesterday lol.”
