Although they are on holiday, the Spanish royal family haven’t ceased to work. Today, Queen Letizia visited Palma’s yacht club to welcome home Olympic medallist Joan Cardona, who came third in the sailing in Tokyo.
Espadrilles have been worn in Spain for centuries and Espardenyes Torres still creates their versions by hand, the old-fashioned way.
Letizia’s white pair costs €110,00, which is equivalent to around £93.
As for accessories, the royal wore a pair of simple sunglasses and her favourite gold hoops.
She also carried a white clutch bag which matched her espadrilles.
On Wednesday, the royals were pictured visiting a national park on the Balearic Island.
For this engagement, Letizia wore blue again.
The summery gown was by Spanish designer Adolfo Dominguez, one of the queen’s favourites.
It featured long sleeves, a fitted bodice, and an asymmetrical skirt.
Fans took to social media to comment on Queen Letizia’s fashion choice.
“Stunning,” said one fan.
“So pretty,” commented another one.
One person wrote: “Such a beautiful family.”
