Prince Edward: Body language shows royal ‘happy’ for Sophie to take the lead

[ad_1]

Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex are senior working members of the Royal Family. With interests in various different organisations and charities, the married duo often attend engagements together. According to one expert, Sophie’s body language changes when she is with her husband compared to when she is on her own.

Sophie Wessex married Queen Elizabeth II’s youngest son back in 1999 when they married in Windsor Castle.

The couple now have two children together, Lady Louise Windsor, 17, and James Viscount Severn, 13.

The children’s lives are kept private and the family-of-four live in their Bagshot Park mansion, not too far from Windsor Castle.

Lady Louise and James Viscount also don’t have HRH titles, which gives them more privacy.

“She is openly, actively sociable, using very inclusive body language to suggest a strong trait of leadership.

“But she also looks fun. Her smile lacks the ‘fixed’ traits of a traditional royal smile and, with her head slightly lowered, her eyes up and her eye expression engaged and engaging and her very congruent mouth smile that raised the cheeks and reaches the eyes, she looks more like an inspirational business leader.”

Judi explained that Sophie has a “keenness to join in” and has a “very hands-on approach”.

“With Edward, Sophie seems to notch down the charisma to avoid eclipsing her husband.

“Edward used to be quite the performer with a career in the theatre planned but as a more mature man he seems to be rather shy and happy to have Sophie provide the encouragement and confidence-boosting when the cameras around.

“Her posture becomes less high-energy almost gently maternal and watchful, often standing with her hands clasped in front of her torso and her eyes on her husband, but it seems clear that the pair also exchange quite a few flirt signals too, like this eye-gazing and eye-smiling as they look at one another over the top of their masks.”

The Countess has been in the Royal Family for more than 20 years.

Prior to her role, Sophie had a job in public relations, even owning her own agency.

Judi previously explained that Sophie’s confidence show her as being the more “socially active one in the team dynamic”.

She added: “Edward’s non-verbal signals suggest he’s happily moved into a more low-key role in public.

“Edward looks delighted to stand by his wife using glances of admiration and pride.”

Photos of the married couple often show Prince Edward glancing towards his wife and letting her take the limelight.
