WARNING: This article contains full spoilers for Free Guy.
Viewers of Free Guy witnessed Guy (Ryan Reynolds) learn a lot about himself over the course of the two-hour movie. At the beginning of the film, Guy was a simple bank teller who did not know anything about the virtual or real world. By the end of the movie Guy’s world had changed from the ground up.

What happened at the end of Free Guy?
In the final scenes of Free Guy Millie (Jodie Comer) and Keys’ (Joe Keery) original game code was released from Soonami by Antoine (Taika Waititi).
The two programmers then used their original game to create a brand new world full of unique artificially intelligent (AI) non-player characters (NPCs).
The last moments of the film show Guy enjoying his new world alongside his new friend The Dude.

Guy also finally reunited with his old friend from the bank, Buddy (Lil Rel Howery).
Going forward, it seems like Guy’s new world will continue to evolve the longer they play it.
Along with the other residents of Free City, Guy explained how they would do “whatever they wanted” for the rest of their existence – the first time they’ve been able to do so.
In the outside world Millie didn’t realise Keys was asking her out on a coffee date, so turned him down.
After the battle for Free City came to an end, Antoine was arrested by the authorities for his crimes.
The neatly wrapped-up ending does leave doubt in the mind of viewers, however.
This brand new intellectual property might lack any chance of getting a sequel, as all of the antagonists had been quashed by the time credits rolled.
Reynolds will surely want to start a brand new franchise in Free Guy, but will the events of the film allow him to?
Reynolds did recently reveal his hopes for a sequel, however, saying: “We all hope that we get to do this again. Either in this form as a sequel or something else.
“We’re lucky, a couple of people I’ve got the opportunity to work with multiple times, and I’m hoping that if not in another Free Guy movie, it’s in another movie or another form.”
Director Shawn Levy also mused over a sequel, saying: “I guess the short answer is yes. I’ve made things that launched franchises and I’ve made enough things to know that you just don’t know the outcome. We have bandied about and flirted with some ideas.”
He added: “I will say that for anyone who’s seen the movie if we make Free Guy 2, it will be titled Albuquerque Boiled Turkey. If you’ve seen this movie, you’ll understand that joke. It is 100% Free Guy 2: Albuquerque Boiled Turkey, based on one of seven million improv lines by Taika Waititi.” (Via Digital Spy)
