The ceremony for the four-month-old baby took place at Drottningholm Palace’s church, not far from Stockholm. The royal couple’s two older children – Prince Alexander, five, and Prince Gabriel, three, also attended the christening.
The entire family gathered at the church, including Carl Philip’s sisters – Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine.
The young prince’s grandparents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, were also among the guests.
Prince Julian donned a christening gown that his father wore to his own christening in 1979.
The garment dates back to Prince Gustaf Adolf’s baptism in 1906, making it a sentimental Royal Family heirloom.

His son, Julian, is seventh in line to the throne behind his two brothers.
Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sophia have been married for six years now.
However, prior to marrying into the Royal Family, Sophia was a model and reality TV contestant.
As a Royal, she founded and is actively involved in the non-profit organisation Project Playground, offering support for vulnerable children outside Cape Town in South Africa.
During the Covid pandemic, she volunteered at Sophiahemmet hospital.
