Harry Potter Studio Tour invites fans to visit Hogwarts for Halloween | Films | Entertainment

[ad_1]

Today it was announced the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio Tour London will be receiving a makeover from Friday September 24 to Sunday November 7 for Halloween. The Studio Tour London’s new Dark Arts Feature focuses on the Dark Mark – the horrifying symbol left by Lord Voldemort and his followers. Punters will be challenged with finding the Dark Mark that is being projected around the exhibit and marking their progress with a Studio Tour Passport.

The new Dark Arts Feature is being put on in celebration of Halloween, bringing some much-loved classic decorations back to the Studio Tour London.

The 100 floating pumpkins will once again be suspended in the resplendent Great Hall, as seen in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

While there are no trolls in the dungeon, each pumpkin would have been hand-crafted by Head Propmaker from the official film series, Pierre Bohanna and his team.

The real fans of the Harry Potter films can also delve into the combat during a wand fight.

Studio Tour-goers can learn the real moves behind such scenes as the Battle For Hogwarts and the legendary duels in the Defence Against the Dark Arts classes.

Paul Harris, the Wand Choreographer from Harry Potter films Order of the Phoenix to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, described the importance of wizardly sparring as a “physical element to casting a spell, because otherwise what makes one wizard better than another?”

Members of Dumbledore’s Army will even be able to practise their newly acquired skills against Death Eaters.

For Harry Potter fans aged 18+, an even more haunting experience is being hosted by the Warner Bros Studio Tour.

Guests are invited to dine amongst the Death Eaters themselves at the Hogwarts After Dark events.

These special nights will run on October 6, 7 and 8 and will run through to midnight.

Newly enrolled Hogwarts students will begin their evenings with dry ice cocktails and canapés before attending the legendary Great Hall for a two-course dinner.

These events will be held among the interior sets including the Potions Class and Dumbledore’s office, complete with Death Eaters patrolling the dimly lit domain.

Brave Witches and Wizards can then grab a lantern and venture further into the depths of the Wizard World by exploring the Forbidden Forest, where dessert will be served among the spiders.

The Warner Bros Studio Tour London promises to reveal the gruesome details behind troll snot and unicorn blood from the iconic scenes of the films.
