Shang-Chi end-credits scene: Does Shang-Chi have a post-credits scene? | Films | Entertainment

[ad_1]

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings introduces not only a new evil organisation but also a collection of new magical artifacts: The Ten Rings. Liu plays the titular character taking on Wenwu (Tony Leung) to stop his nefarious plans, which would no doubt affect the Marvel Cinematic Universe drastically. Once the credits have rolled, however, should you stick around in the cinema?

Does Shang-Chi have a post-credits scene?

Yes, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings does have some scenes after the credits.

The first scene takes place in the mid-credits section, which is just a few minutes after the film finishes.

The second and final post-credits scene takes place after all the credits have rolled.

The mid-credits scene follows on directly from the final scene of the film.

Shang-Chi and Katy (Awkwafina) are in Doctor Strange’s headquarters – the Sanctum Sanctorum – with Wong (Benedict Wong).

The three characters stood around a table staring at the Ten Rings while analysing their powers.

They were joined by two Avengers in hologram form – Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).

The three Avengers discussed the power of the Ten Rings with Shang-Chi, who explained his father, Wenwu, received them over 1,000 years ago.

Bruce explained they aren’t radioactive, while Captain Marvel said they aren’t intergalactic.

While nobody can tell where the rings came from, they were all certain of one thing: When Shang-Chi picked them up, he activated a beacon within them.

Captain Marvel left the conversation by telling Shang-Chi to get her number from Bruce, who went on to say: “I don’t actually have her number… she does that a lot.”

Wong finished the harrowing conversation by adding that Shang-Chi and Katy were now “involved” with the Avengers, and that their lives would never be the same again.

The second post-credits scene showed off Shang-Chi’s sister, Xialing (Meng’er Zhang), taking control of the Ten Rings at her father’s old base in China.

After her father died during the battle against the soulsuckers, Xialing took hold of the evil organisation in lieu of Shang-Chi doing so.

In her final moments on screen, she looked into the camera and said: “Let’s get started.”

The camera panned out to show the Ten Rings base being upgraded with technology, new weapons and a new look.

Xialing’s desire for power is not surprising, considering she told Katy multiple times throughout the film that she wanted to build her own empire.

Does Xialing’s new position in the Ten Rings mean she will be a foe for Shang-Chi going forward?

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is in cinemas now.
