Since professionally debuting with his father Andrea Bocelli in 2018, Matteo Bocelli has been working on his upcoming solo album. Now the wait is almost finally over as the 23-year-old has shared some new material is arriving next Friday, September 24. The rising star made the announcement through a series of cryptic posts on his Instagram this week.

Each post saw a word written on a stone, sitting in some grass and greenery. Putting one up a day, they spelt out altogether: “You are gonna find your way SOLO. Sept. 24.”

Presumably, next Friday marks the release of Bocelli’s debut solo single with that sentence as its title.

Aside from duetting Fall On Me, which featured in the Disney movie The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, Matteo sang a track on a Disney album.

Andrea’s son performed a beautiful rendition of Elton John’s Can You Feel The Love Tonight from The Lion King as part of the Disney Goes Classical CD.

While just this August, Matteo shared a video of himself covering Stevie Wonder’s I Just Called to Say I Love You

And back in April, the 23-year-old spoke of an “incredible project” that he’s been working on for release next year.

Sharing a picture of himself riding a horse on Instagram at the time, he captioned it: “Getting my gallop on! There’s no thrill like it.

“I had the pleasure of rediscovering horse riding recently for an incredible project. I can’t wait for you all to see it next year…”

Last Christmas, Virginia, who was just eight at the time, sang Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah with her father.

The duet was part of a live-streamed concert called Believe In Christmas, broadcast from the Teatro Regio di Parma.

And just earlier this week, Virginia interviewed Andrea about his remastered 10th anniversary record Concerto: One Night In Central Park.

The album is a recording of the Italian tenor’s 2011 performance in New York City, which he sees as the highlight of his career.
