The star, 70, dislocated his vertebrae in 2007 causing crippling nerve damage. He cannot hold a drumstick anymore but despite that he has joined Tony Banks, 71, and Mike Rutherford, 70, on Genesis’ gruelling 36-date tour of the UK, the US and Canada.
At Monday’s first show in Birmingham he looked frail as he stood briefly to thank the crowd.
The Against All Odds singer, who nearly died in 2012 of acute pancreatitis, said recently: “Doing the show seated changes things.
“But the audience were still listening and responding.”
