Meghan Markle’s head-to-toe black outfit sparks royal row ‘What do you expect? Hot pink?’

The royal couple are there for an early-morning meeting, however, royal commentators do not know the actual purpose of Harry and Meghan’s attendance. Prince Harry, 37, and Meghan Markle, 40, arrived at the One World Trade Centre for an 8am meeting in sombre, black outfits, likely chosen for their planned trip to the 9/11 Memorial afterwards. The couple arrived in a black SUV, and were taken to meet Mayor Bill de Blasio, and New York Governor Kathy Hochul.
Meghan is also sporting her £45,210 Lorraine Schwartz pinky ring which she wore on the cover of Time Magazine last week with her husband.
This ring, made by celebrity jeweller Lorraine Schwartz and reportedly worth £45,210, was rumoured to be made with diamonds from a mystery donor in the Middle East.
However, Meghan and Harry have denied these claims, and have said the ring was sourced by a stylist on the shoot, and that rumours of a link to a mystery donor in the Middle East were false.
The Duchess of Sussex also appears to be wearing her infinity ring.
This ring was created by Prince Harry, who was assisted by renowned jeweller Lorraine Schwartz, to create a gift to mark the couple’s wedding anniversary and their growing family.
While creating the diamond eternity band, Harry paid tribute by adding birthstones for Meghan, Archie, and himself underneath the delicate piece.
It features a flawless green emerald for Archie, a blue sapphire for Harry, and an olive-green peridot stone for the Duchess of Sussex.
Each birthstone is said to have its own meaning and significance, with sapphires believed to protect those close to you from harm, peridots said to instil power in the wearer, and emeralds considered a symbol of rebirth and love.
Critic7321 also tweeted: “You expect them to wear hot pick to the site of the largest terrorist attack on American soil?”
Today’s visit is the Sussexes’ first public trip to New York City since their permanent move to America in March 2020.
Harry and Meghan are also set to visit the memorial to the terror attacks after leaving the observatory.
The Sussexes’ will also attend the Global Citizen Live concert in Central Park on Saturday.
That will feature performances from Coldplay, Lizzo and Jennifer Lopez, and will take place on the Manhattan Park’s Great Lawn.
Harry and Meghan are attending to assist Global Citizen’s aim to share one billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines with developing countries.
