Dan Walker’s salary increased this year as he was one of the celebrities chosen to participate in the nineteenth series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Each celebrity is given a standard £25,000 payment once they sign up for the series. But what is Dan’s net worth?
According to the BBC’s most recent annual report, the journalist from Crawley is the highest earner on BBC Breakfast.
As of July 2021, he receives a whopping annual salary of £295,000.
This is due to him having been given a pay rise of an impressive £35,000 by the BBC between 2020 and 2021.
Dan has his career to thank for his net worth, having presented a slew of popular TV shows.

During this time, he won the Royal Television Society Sports Award in 2005 for Regional Sports Presenter of the Year.

The couple are still in the show and will be hitting the dance floor tonight at 7pm.
Dan lives in Sheffield with his wife, Sarah, who he met at university in the steel city, and their three children, Joe, Jessica, and Susie.
The broadcaster recently shared an image of himself on social media in front of a sauna and wearing a velvety dressing gown, telling his followers that he had hired a sauna to be put in his home.
In the post’s caption, Dan wrote: “Now then…on the recommendation of my professional partner @nadiyabychkova I have hired an infrared sauna (dressing gown optional).
“She says it’s amazing for recovery from the aches & pains you get from dancing for hours. It has also improved my sleep.
“Thanks to the lads from @sunandhealthinternational who managed to put it together in the dark (I forgot there was no light in garage. I have now chucked a temporary lamp in there).”
