Meghan Markle released her children’s book The Bench in June. The Duchess of Sussex has appeared in a new video that aims to help parents encourage children to read.
Together with brand Brightly, she proudly read The Bench, her debut children’s book.
Meghan started the video by saying: “I’m Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex and today I’m going to read you my book called the Bench.
“This is illustrated by Christian Robinson and I asked him to do something special for me and use watercolours, which isn’t the normal medium he works in, but he did it to make this extra special. I hope you love the pictures as much as you love the words.”
In the video, Meghan was wearing a light blue shirt and jeans.

The Duchess finished her relaxed outfit with a few pieces of jewellery.
She donned her mini ‘Bezel Tennis’ gold bracelet by American designer Jennifer Meyer and her Cartier ‘Love’ yellow gold bracelet.
Meghan was also seen wearing her Cartier gold tank française watch.
The Duchess looked beautiful in the casual look.
DON’T MISS
For hair, Meghan opted for a low ponytail with a side parting.
She wore natural makeup with a dash of mascara.
Speaking from a garden setting, which presumably is her Montecito mansion in Los Angeles she shares with Prince Harry and their two children Archie and Lili, the Duchess said: “I wrote this as a poem for my husband and our son Archie, and then turned it into a book so you can enjoy it too.”
Many fans took to social media to comment on Meghan’s fashion choice.
After reading her book, Meghan said: “I hope you enjoyed The Bench, I loved being able to share it with you and now I hope you’re able to go and find your own special bench or chair or a little quiet nook, just a place that means something to you that you share with someone you love.”
This is Meghan’s first appearance since she and Prince Harry visited New York last month.
Read Brightly said: “We’re over the moon to welcome Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex to Brightly Storytime!
“Her book THE BENCH captures the evolving and expanding relationship between father and son, and reminds us of the many ways that love can take shape and be expressed in a modern family.”
