Andrea Bocelli is very proud of his son for following him into a singing career and paid tribute on his Instagram account.

The 63-year-old opera star wrote: “Solo, and that’s how things should be.

“You’re going solo, dearest Matteo, with the strength of your legs and your dreams, with your voice and the emotions you will ignite, the smiles you will bring to light up your world!

“Going solo, away from those who raised you, the world you grew up in, and yet my greatest hope is that you will never feel lonely, because love is a constant presence; love stays by your side, even when you are far away.”
