The Swedish Royal Family were in Stockholm on Monday, December 20 for the annual meeting of the Swedish Academy looking incredibly regal with their jewellery. The Swedish Academy publishes important dictionaries and also selects the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. Crown Princess Victoria arrived for the meeting draped in faux fur and velvet.
Her husband Prince Daniel had been scheduled to accompany her, but he stayed home due to suffering from a slight cold.
Victoria’s velvet gown, made by Camilla Thulin, was deep forest green in colour but also looked teal depending on the lighting.
The designer’s official website described the dress as ‘petrol’ because the colour changes between forest green and teal.
Victoria added some sparkle with a clutch bag covered in Swarovski crystals.
The real sparkle then came from Victoria’s jewellery.

She amped up the glitter with the family’s small diamond drop earrings.
Victoria also wore a major diamond and emerald jewel: the large brooch from the Bernadotte Emerald Suite.
She used the brooch to secure the pale blue Seraphim sash.
The combination of the gown, sash, and brooch served to highlight the blue tones in the emerald.
The Bernadotte Emerald Suite belonged to the first Bernadotte king, Carl XIV Johan.
DON’T MISS:
It consists of a large necklace that was originally worn as a belt, plus two brooches.
The larger brooch was originally a belt buckle.
Crown Princess Victoria has worn the Bernadotte emeralds on several occasions.
In 2012, she paired the necklace and the smaller brooch with the Diamond Four-Button Tiara at the Nobel Prize banquet.
Queen Silvia was wrapped up warmly in a black fur-trimmed jacket as she arrived for the meeting.
The Queen accompanied her outfit with some pearl and diamond earrings, a multi-coloured pearl necklace, a large ring and stacked bracelets.
Silvia wore some very colourful beaded bracelets on her left wrist.
She wears these bracelets often, as they are connected to one of her most important charitable endeavours, the World Childhood Foundation.
