Kate Middleton, along with Prince William, attended Westminster Abbey for a Christmas carol service on December 8 which is airing on TV tonight. For the occasion, the Duchess of Cambridge chose a beautiful red Catherine Walker coat dress. The gown featured a bow detailing on the front and a midi skirt.

For jewellery, the Duchess donned her sapphire engagement ring and matching dangling earrings, which belong to the Queen.

The CEO of American celebrity jewellery house Le Vian, Eddie LeVian, whose ancestors in 18th century Persia guarded the Koh-I-Noor diamond, now found on the Queen Mother’s crown located in the Tower of London, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about Kate’s choice in jewellery.

He said: “The glamorous diamond and sapphire chandelier earrings which Kate wore to her carol concert were in fact on loan from one of the most coveted jewellery collections in the world, The Queen Mother’s Collection.

“The Queen Mother wore these earrings at a theatre performance in 1986.

DON’T MISS:

“Kate has donned them previously in 2015 at the 100 Women In Hedge Funds Gala Dinner held at the Victoria and Albert Museum.”

The ‘Together At Christmas’ event in London is celebrated to honour the pandemic heroes such as charity workers, teachers and other volunteers.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were joined by Sophie, Countess of Wessex for the occasion.

Other royals seen at Westminster Abbey included Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall.

The embroidered cardigan featured a Peter Pan collar and pearl buttons.

The cashmere-jacquard cardigan currently retails for a whopping £1,350.

During the trailer, she said: “I’m so excited to be hosting Together At Christmas here at Westminster Abbey.”

Kate kept her hair loose and styled it in a subtle wave.

For makeup, the Duchess opted for a natural look with a dash of mascara.
