Queen Letizia of Spain was a ‘lady in red’ in Carolina Herrera dress – ‘style icon!’

Queen Letizia spent a decade working as a TV reporter before marrying King Felipe in 2004. Today, she presented the Luis Carandell Awards for Parliamentary Journalism at the Senate Palace. Queen Letizia showed elegance as she attended the awards ceremony for journalism.
Looking typically polished, Letizia, 49, opted for a recycled dress by Carolina Herrera.
This is a repeat look for the Spanish monarch, who first debuted the dress back in 2018.
Today, Letizia paired the dress with killer burnt red heels and a matching clutch bag.
The bespoke, red sheath dress features a keyhole neckline, long sleeves and a pencil silhouette.

This perfectly flattered the royal’s figure.
Putting safety first, Letizia donned a plain white face covering throughout the ceremony.
She teamed her chic look with a pair of red teardrop earrings.
Also, the Queen’s brown tresses were bouncy and loose around her shoulders.

Social media account @tree37859423 commented saying: “The Duchess of Cambridge and Queen Letizia are the two most stylish women on the planet.”
The royal was last spotted in the outfit as she joined her husband King Felipe and their two daughters Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia to mark the 40th anniversary of Spain’s constitution in December 2018.
Today Letizia was joined by President of the Senate, Ander Gil Garcia as she hosted the awards, which aims to recognise excellence in political reporting and journalism within Spain.
The royal, whose father Jesús José Ortiz Álvarez and stepmother Ana Togores are both journalists, met her husband while still a reporter and was famously asked to conduct an interview with him.
Letizia’s media career was a lengthy one and began with a stint at Asturian daily paper, La Nueva España.
Next came a role at ABC, a popular national newspaper that enjoys the third largest circulation in Spain, before spells at EFE and Mexican publication Siglo 21, which is based in Guadelajara.
Back in Spain a year later, she worked for the Spanish version of Bloomberg, a news channel and agency specialising in economics, before moving to CNN+.
By the time she met her husband-to-be, Letizia was working for popular TV channel 24 Horas, where she anchored the popular Telediario 2 evening news bulletin.
