Queen Elizabeth’s ‘range of stylish umbrellas’ with Royal Warrant – worth £300+

When it comes to the Queen’s wardrobe, she is famous for her love of bright and vibrant coats and matching hats. As the head of the Royal Family, it is the Queen’s job to be visible to her subjects and has herself admitted: “I have to be seen to be believed”. While the 95-year-old monarch has joked she could never wear the colour beige as she would go unrecognised, Her Majesty has employed a clever tactic to ensure she can be spotted on even the rainiest of days.
When it comes to dressing for a wet and windy day, the Queen really is the champion.
The fashionable monarch has been pictured several times attending engagements under the protective shelter of a colourful umbrella.
The Queen’s trend of matching her umbrella to her outfit has delighted royal fans for many years and there are some brilliant pictures.
Queen Elizabeth gets her umbrellas from Fulton – a London based company that was launched in Whitechapel in 1956.
The brand was granted a Royal Warrant by the Queen and previously held one from The Queen Mother.
Fulton spoke to Express.co.uk saying: “As the UK is battered with Storm Eunice, and parts of the UK are experiencing high winds up to 70mph, there is no better time to invest in a Fulton performance umbrella to ensure you remain safe and dry.
“Prepare to battle the extreme conditions with the leading UK umbrella manufacturer and Royal Warrant holder.
“We offer a range of stylish, performance-driven umbrellas, encompassing the perfect balance between refined style and the latest technical developments!
DON’T MISS:
“The Fulton performance Cyclone has been wind tunnel tested to 78mph and utilises patented super-strength construction and high-specification components.
“This provides a durable, windproof umbrella that will be sure to take on Storm Eunice.”
They added: “Founded by engineer Arnold Fulton in 1956 in a small factory in Whitechapel, London, Fulton proudly remains a family business, with Arnold’s son Nigel taking over the company in 1996.
“Her Majesty The Queen granted Fulton her Royal Warrant in 2008 and today Fulton is a global umbrella brand recognised in over 30 countries for its technical excellence.”
Their brand is also used by Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Kate Middleton.
There are countless images of the Queen using her outfit-matching umbrellas.
The countless number of pictures means Fulton “wouldn’t be able to say how many” have been supplied to Her Majesty, they said.
The Queen’s accessory of choice is the £23 ‘Birdcage’ umbrella and Fulton confirmed Buckingham Palace ask them to make particular colours when they are necessary.
While the design is excellent and provides ample protection from the rain, Fulton has said the large dome shape is also there for safety reasons.
A spokesperson said: “For safety reasons, we had to make the canopy clear so you could see where you were walking, but in the Queen’s case it’s also a major advantage that she can also be seen while using the umbrella.”
There is proof the Queen has at least 12 of Fulton’s custom-made umbrellas, meaning the monarch’s total expense has topped £300.
The royals will no doubt be using Fulton umbrellas should they make their way outside during Storm Eunice over the weekend.
