Royals and British celebrities can’t resist the call of a good bargain as these pictures

It’s apparent that no one can resist finding a good bargain or deal, even royals – like Kate Middleton and Prince Harry – and British celebrities are susceptible, despite often having millions in the bank. Kate Middleton, 38, might be the Duchess of Cambridge and married to the future King of England, Prince William, 37, but it appears that the Duchess loves a good money-saving deal.
In December 2018, The Duchess of Cambridge was pictured browsing between aisles before buying her children – Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four, and maybe even Prince Louis, one – some tasty treats from discount home store The Range.
Her keen eye-for bargains doesn’t stop there. Previously it was revealed by US Weekly that Kate Middleton’s favourite shop is TK Maxx.
A source told the publication: “She loves to shop for bargains, mixing and matching high street clothes and designer. She has a great eye for that.”
And she’s not the only royal that enjoys a TK Maxx bargain.
DON’T MISS
Her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, 35, who is worth an estimated £30.8million was also previously photographed stepping out of a TK Maxx store – despite trying to be in disguise, wearing a hoodie and a hat so he isn’t recognised – he was seen leaving the store with a full shopping bag.
Royals sure do love a bargain, but they aren’t the only ones – celebrities across the nation have been spotted shopping at some surprising wallet-friendly stores.
English singer-songwriter, Adele, 31, might have recently showed off her incredible seven stone weight loss at the uber star-studded Oscar After Party and worn a dress worth the same price as small car, but it hasn’t stopped her hunting for a good bargain in the past.
She might be worth £146.3million, but the singer has kept her feet firmly on the ground.
A source told The Sun previously: “Adele is like any normal girl – she loves a bargain. She’d rather shop local, too, so these are the obvious places to go.”
Man City star and professional footballer, Raheem Sterling, 25, is worth an estimated £34.6million – but that hasn’t stopped the premiership footballer from shopping in his local Poundworld store in Southport, Merseyside.
This act of bargain-hunting seems more than a little out of character for the player who is well-known for turning up to training in a different supercar everyday, but it appears even he can’t resist a cheap bargain.
However, it seems that Raheem isn’t the only celebrity that loves a good £1 bargain.
Katie Price proudly posted on her Instagram page a picture of herself showing off her new parker coat to the backdrop of Poundland.
Loud and proud, she announced to the world: “Loving my @bobbi_parka new coat… and yes I’m in the pound shop… with pound shop queen @loupudd” in her caption.
