Kate Middleton, 38, wore a vintage Oscar de la Renta dress which featured a ruffled collar tonight. The Duchess of Cambridge was pictured arriving alongside Prince William, 37, at the reception, hosted by Tanaiste Simon Coveney at Museum of Literature Island.
She had swept her curled tresses into a low ponytail, and wrapped a portion of her hair around the tie.
The Duchess also accessorised her look with a pair of earrings which featured a hoop.
Fans and style watchers alike soon took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One person commented: “Vintage Oscar de la Renta. That is all.”

This evening, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were shown the very first copy of James Joyce’s Ulysses, printed on February 2, 1922.
Earlier today, Kate was pictured wearing a khaki green belted – which was the Friel Utility Jacket, currently on sale for £299.
Underneath, she wore a cream shirt which had a bow at the front. This garment is a Barbour x Alexa Chung design, and costs £100.
Earlier in the day, the pair visited mental health charity Jigsaw, at Temple Bar in Dublin.
Kate wore shamrock earrings, as well as the Reiss Olivia coat in white.
It was the same garment she wore for her 26th birthday at Kitts nightclub in London, more than 12 years ago.
Kate finished the look with a pair of black skinny jeans and black heeled ankle boots.
