According to research undertaken by payments service order, over a third of adults have cancelled or are planning to cancel at least one direct debit during the lockdown period.
Thirty five percent of people surveyed chose to cancel their gym membership – the top direct debit most likely to be cancelled.
However, despite most Britons being at home for large portions of the day, home based subscription services were high on the cancellation list.
Sixteen percent of those surveyed have or are considering cancelling their music streaming service.
