The penultimate episode of The Mandalorian’s first season saw some pretty cool Star Wars movie Easter Eggs. Episode 7 The Reckoning even featured Baby Yoda channelling Darth Vader’s Force choke from A New Hope. When The Child thought Cara Dune’s arm wrestle with Mando was a fight, he ended up using the Force just like the Sith Lord to strangle her briefly.
Apart from Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker used the technique upon entering Jabba’s Palace at the beginning of Return of the Jedi.
This week’s episode also featured an Easter Egg for A New Hope prequel Rogue One.
Fans will remember the black Death Troopers from the 2016 movie.
Well, now they’re back for the first time in live-action Star Wars.

Later on in the movie, she stabbed Kylo Ren after a lightsaber duel on the Death Star wreckage.
But Rey decided to heal him by giving up more of her life energy.
And by The Rise of Skywalker’s ending, Rey managed to defeat Palpatine with the power of the Jedi.
However, the moment pretty much killed her so the redeemed Ben Solo gave up all of his life energy to save her before becoming one with the Force.

So maybe this could be foreshadowing him giving up his life to save Mando.
After all, he did previously try to heal his bounty hunter guardian.
The Mandalorian Season 1’s final episode airs on Disney+ on May 1.
