The iconic eighties rock band followed the likes of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and Elton John’s Rocketman last year with their very own music biopic. The Dirt chronicles the rise of Mötley Crüe and first hit Netflix in March 2019. Now Nikki Sixx and the guys have announced a watchalong with fans this Friday.

Organised by Better Noise Music, the watch and chat party will see both Mötley Crüe and the actors who play them in The Dirt, interacting with fans online during the movie.

The idea is that fans start the movie on Netflix at the same time and chat along with the band and stars via Twitter and Instagram.

For UK fans, the time to hit play on Friday night is at midnight – so technically as the early hours of Saturday begin.

While for US fans it’s 4pm PST and 7pm EST for The Dirt’s start tomorrow.

The autobiography was written in collaboration between Mötley Crüe and New York Times writer Neil Strauss.

The Dirt also stars Douglas Booth as Nikki Sixx, Iwan Rheon as Mick Mars and Daniel Webber as Vince Neil.

The film didn’t receive great reviews from the critics when it was released, but some mentioned how The Dirt would please fans.

Similarly, Bohemian Rhapsody received a lukewarm response from the critics.

However, the Freddie Mercury movie was incredibly successful.

Bohemian Rhapsody made over $900 million worldwide.

And went on to win more Oscars than any other movie at the Academy Awards last year.

It should come as little surprise that a sequel has been in discussion.
