But this bank holiday will be different from last year, with the UK now in its ninth week in lockdown. so instead of having friends and family round for a barbecue this weekend, you may find yourself heading online for zoom quizzes instead.

You can still enjoy a barbecue or a drink or two from the comfort of your own home, however.

And with the sunny conditions in some parts of the UK this weekend, cooking up a storm may be a great way to spend the extra free hours.

So whether its lamb kebabs or a roasted chicken for Sunday lunch that you’re after, you may need a dash to the shops.

But what time is Aldi open this weekend? Express.co.uk brings you a simple guide on Aldi opening times over this second May bank holiday.

These times can vary from store to store, so make sure you double check your local Aldi opening times to be sure.

However, the firm advises customers to wash their hands often and avoid contact with their eyes, nose and mouth as part of its social distancing guidelines.

In a statement, Aldi said: “Aldi will be providing the option of face masks to all its store-based colleagues to further support their safety as they continue to feed the nation.

“This move is in addition to the previously announced provision of gloves and clear screens that are being installed at more than 7,000 checkouts.”
