Nicole Jack, 33, has been stuck with her three girls, aged 6, 8 and 11, in the al-Hol detention camp in Syria where Shemina Begum was found earlier last year. Ms Begum, now 20, travelled to Syria in February 2015 and lived under ISIS rule for more than three years before she was found, nine months pregnant, in a Syrian refugee camp in February last year.
Then-home secretary Sajid Javid revoked her British citizenship on national security grounds later that month.
But Ms Begum took legal action against the Home Office, claiming the decision was unlawful because it rendered her stateless and exposed her to a real risk of death or inhuman and degrading treatment.
In February, the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC) – a specialist tribunal which hears challenges to decisions to remove someone’s British citizenship on national security grounds – ruled the decision was lawful as Ms Begum was “a citizen of Bangladesh by descent” at the time of the decision.
The tribunal also found she “cannot play any meaningful part in her appeal and that, to that extent, the appeal will not be fair and effective”, but ruled that “it does not follow that her appeal succeeds”.
Ms Begum’s challenge to the Home Office’s decision to refuse to allow her to enter the UK to effectively pursue her appeal was also rejected.
But last week the Court of Appeal ruled that “the only way in which she can have a fair and effective appeal is to be permitted to come into the United Kingdom to pursue her appeal”.
Judges described conditions at the refugee camp as “inhuman and degrading”.
Meanwhile, Ms Jack left her home and family in autumn 2015 with her first husband, Hussein Ali and their four children.
This was just months after Ms Begum boarded a flight from Gatwick Airport to Istanbul, Turkey, on February 17, 2015, before travelling to Raqqa.
Ms Jack was brought up a Christian but converted to Islam after meeting Ali whilst working at a branch of Pizza Hut in Hammersmith, west London.
However, after moving to Syria, she lost her first husband in the fighting before she married Adil Roberts, a Trinidadian jihadist.
Ms Jack lived with Mr Roberts’s first wife and her offspring from her relationship with Ali but in 2017, the family attempted to flee the brutal ISIS regime, she claims.

However she became pregnant with triplets from Mr Roberts before she had the chance to pay smugglers to get her out of the country, it is claimed.
Months later, her triplets sadly died whilst Mr Roberts and Ms Jack’s son Isaaq, 10, died in a suspected coalition airstrike alongside her husband.
Recalling the moment, Nicole wrote in a WhatsApp message to her mother in London: “He sat under an olive tree with some guys.
“Then just bright orange and smoke and dust. He went instantly. He just looked like he went to sleep.
