Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has been living in Los Angeles with their son, Archie, since they completed their final royal engagement in March. The couple originally planned to split their time between America and the UK. Of course, their plans to return to the UK were forced to change due to the pandemic and they have remained overseas. However, one expert is certain Harry will return and says he would be “crazy” not to.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been busy overseas and plan to launch their new organisation Archewell this year.

Meghan has since appeared in numerous video calls with charities and has received widespread praise for her speech on George Floyd.

However, their plans could soon change should Harry decide to return to the UK.

Former Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter said in an interview with the Telegraph that Harry’s move “doesn’t make sense” to the British public.

He said: “British people are clearly just saddened that this star, in their eyes – and I mean Harry, not Meghan – has left the country and gone his own way.

“It doesn’t make sense to a lot of them.”

When asked if he thinks Harry will come back to the UK to live, he suggested the LA life is not for a prince.

He said: “He’d be crazy not to.

“But I think it’s very hard to start telling people about the fate of the planet when you’re flying in private planes, living in a 14-bedroom Beverly Hills mansion and living off the state.

“I really don’t think you can lecture people from that position.”

Earlier this month Meghan and Harry came under fire for their petrol-guzzling black Cadillac Escalade they were spotted with in Beverly Hills.

The discovery raised eyebrows among royal fans considering Harry’s recent comments about climate change.

In his speech, Harry said: “I’ve learned that we cannot dismiss the idea of trying to do something, just because we can’t do everything.

“We can all do better.

“And while no one is perfect, we are all responsible for our own individual impact; the question is what we do to balance it out.”

However, Harry and Meghan have themselves been criticised for their own environmentally-unfriendly habits.

Back in September 2019, Harry launched Travalyst, a new global initiative aimed at encouraging more sustainable and environmentally friendly travel.

Backed by giants of the industry like Skyskanner, TripAdvisor, Booking.com and Visa, the project aims to support local communities, protect wildlife, tackle climate change and alleviate over-tourism.

Just weeks before the prince launched his initiative it was revealed he and Meghan had flown on four private planes in 11 days.

Sir Elton John revealed he paid for the Duke and Duchess to travel by private jet to his home in Nice, France.
