Zara Tindall: Engagement ring from Mike value compared to Kate and Meghan
[ad_1]
Kate Middleton’s engagement ring was bought for Princess Diana originally for £28,000 in 1981, a whopping £95,000 in today’s money.
And, of course, the ring’s history has added to the value, up to a whopping £300,000.
In an interview following their engagement in 2011, Prince William explained by giving Kate the ring he was allowing his late mother to play a part in their big day.
Meghan’s ring of three diamonds on a gold band, since replaced with a band of glittering pave diamonds, was designed by Harry using two of his mother’s stones and one large stone from Botswana.
