Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi had a scaled back wedding last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. But loyal fans heaped praise on the couple when they tied the knot. Beatrice, 32, and Edoardo, 38, sent fans a copy of a handwritten note with an official wedding photo.
The royal pair thanked everyone who congratulated their marriage and even gave a touching nod to key workers.
The note read: “Thank you so much for the wonderful note you so kindly sent to us on the occasion of our wedding this summer at Royal Lodge.
“Edo and I had a magical day filled with special moments with our families.
“We are so grateful to all those who have worked hard to protect our communities over the last few months, we owe them so much.
“Thank you for thinking of us as we begin our married life. Beatrice and Edo x.”
One royal fan posted their thank you card from Beatrice on Twitter.
They captioned the post: “So excited – I received my reply today from Princess Beatrice & Edo!!
“I really love how it’s printed from an original handwritten message – like the engagement reply & Eugenie’s ones too! So special!

The Palace released pictures from the royal wedding after the ceremony took place.
In a statement Buckingham Palace said: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice of York and Mr Mapelli Mozzi have been touched by the warm wishes they have received since their wedding, and are delighted to share two additional photographs of their happy day.”
One photograph showed the newlyweds leaving the chapel through a flower covered archway.
Another photograph portrays the couple outside the entrance with Princess Beatrice’s grandparents, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
The Queen loaned the bride a vintage dress for the wedding.
Her Majesty also loaned a diamond fringe tiara which the monarch wore on her own wedding day in 1947.
