Princess Anne: Royal cheerful at Ascot after Peter Phillips divorce news

The Princess, 70, wore an elegant bright yellow coat at Royal Ascot this morning. Anne completed the look with nude heels and a matching hat and handbag.
For today’s event, she chose a pretty floral piece that dates back to 1970, when Anne was pictured at Heathrow Airport as she departed to Canada with her mother the Queen.
The sentimental brooch was also seen during her honeymoon with her first husband Captain Mark Phillips.
Princess Anne kept her makeup to a minimum and was seen wearing white gloves.

Princess Anne looked cheerful today despite the sad news that her son Peter Phillips has officially finalised his divorce.
A spokesman for the former couple said the agreement has been approved and ordered by the High Court this week.
The spokesman said: “Whilst this is a sad day for Peter and Autumn, they continue to put the wellbeing and upbringing of their wonderful daughters Savannah and Isla first and foremost.
“Both Peter and Autumn are pleased to have resolved matters amicably with the children firmly at the forefront of those thoughts and decisions.”
The couple separated in 2019 and announced their split last year, explaining the decision was sad but amicable.
Princess Anne’s only son is the first of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh’s grandchildren to divorce.
Meanwhile, she welcomed her fifth grandson earlier this year. The little boy Lucas is her daughter Zara Tindall and husband Mike Tindall’s third child.
