With more than 7,200 5-star reviews on Amazon, it’s safe to say Southern Comfort is a firm favourite of whisky fans. Usually retailing for £28, the best selling liqueur is on sale now for £18 for a litre bottle – saving you £10.

If you’ve never tried it before, Southern Comfort has a truly unique flavour that blends sweet, spicy, and fruity notes with American Whisky.

This blend is what makes it such a favourite of whisky lovers all over the world, as there is really just nothing else quite like it.

The fruity flavours come as a welcome surprise to some people who aren’t used to these kinds of notes in their whisky.

One reviewer said: “I love the subtle citrus tones, it’s absolutely delicious, even a small amount in a pint of coke makes a big difference”.

Fans of the whisky have already started making the most of this sale, saying: “I’ve always loved southern comfort, sometimes a little too much but at £18 for a litre, this is a must-buy”.

A big bonus of Southern Comfort is it’s one of those spirits that works just as well in summer as it does in winter, which is reflected in the diversity of the reviews.

One person said: “The flavour is awesome and this is a great drink any time of the year, but especially when it is cold outside”.

Another person added: “Best on a sunny day with lemonade and ice – perfect”.

If you’re not convinced Southern Comfort is very well suited to the warmer months, they have a cocktail recipe that might just change your mind.

They say the cocktail is a mix between a Pornstar Martini and a Cosmopolitan, which sounds absolutely delicious.

To make this cocktail all you need to shake together:

35ml of Southern Comfort

10ml of passion fruit puree

10ml of passion fruit syrup

10ml of fresh lime juice

25 ml of cranberry juice

Pour and serve with a fresh orange peel if you’re feeling especially fancy.
