Prince Harry ‘playing games with Royal Family’ says Jobson

The Duchess of Sussex has been estranged from her father since she married Harry in 2018 after he was caught out faking paparazzi shots shortly before the ceremony. He has since given several interviews pleading for her to speak to him again and has now vowed to take legal action after saying he has not yet met his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet. He told Fox News: “I will be petitioning the California courts for the right to see my grandchildren in the very near future.”

However, relationship expert Tina Wilson warned this plan may not be successful in getting Harry and Meghan to back down.

He told The Sun Online: “The Sussexes are likely to respond aggressively with legal paperwork back, if and when Mr Markle files his officially with the court of California.”

The couple are currently taking a break to spend more time with their newborn Lilibet, who was born June 4.

They also welcomed their first child Archie back in 2019, months before dramatically quitting their roles as senior royals.

Mr Markle’s comments come after Harry and Meghan plunged the Royal Family into crisis this year by publicly airing their own family issues.

Harry spoke of feeling “trapped” while Meghan said she felt suicidal as a member of the Firm.

Buckingham Palace responded “recollections may vary”.

But now more explosive revelations could be on the way as Harry is preparing to release his memoir next year.

1.45am update: Meghan Markle ‘should have known’ pressures of Royal Family life before abandoning UK

MEGHAN MARKLE “should have known what it was like marrying into the Royal Family”, according to a royal insider.

Back in 2018, the former Suits actress married Prince Harry at Windsor Castle. However, after just 18 months in the Firm, Meghan and Harry stepped down as senior members of the Royal Family and moved to California with their son Archie.

Last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their second child, a daughter named Lilibet.

During their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey back in March, Meghan claimed she did not know who Harry was before she married him.

She said before meeting the Royal Family, she had not researched them and set she was set up on a blind date with the Duke of Sussex when they first began dating in 2016.

Meghan insisted that just moments before meeting the Queen, she was taught royal protocol and how to curtsy by Sarah, Duchess of York.

PRINCE HARRY will go “as far as possible” when writing his tell-all memoir about the Royal Family, an expert has claimed.

Prince Harry, 36, is set to publish a literary memoir next year, promising to be an “accurate and wholly truthful” account of his life, it has been announced.

It will cover his lifetime in the public eye, including his time in the military, marriage, and fatherhood. Royal biographer Angela Levin claimed Harry will exact his “revenge” on the Royal Family with the book.

Speaking to GB News, Ms Levin said: “I think he’ll go as far as he possibly can. I don’t think there are any more boundaries for him.”

The British aristocrat and model is Princess Diana’s niece and wowed in a series of gorgeous Dolce and Gabbana gowns throughout the three-day celebration.

The fashion house posted footage from the ceremony including a snippet of Kitty being given away by her two half-brothers, Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, and Samuel Aitken, while her father Charles, Earl Spencer was absent from the event.

8.20pm update: Kate and William ditch Queen’s ‘stiff upper lip’ – but set rules for Prince George

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William have set out certain rules for Prince George to live by, a source has claimed.

Despite the Firm being known for having a “stiff upper lip”, Kate and William want their eldest child to have a normal upbringing.

One source has revealed the two have a more modern approach to parenting. In order to keep their son, 8, grounded Kate and William do not shower him with gifts while he also makes his own bed every day, the source claimed.

7.15pm update: Prince Charles had concerns over Meghan and Harry’s relationship – ‘Room for one Queen’

Prince Charles had concerns over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship, according to a royal author, who claimed the Prince of Wales would feel “there’s only room for one Queen”.

Prince Charles’s relationship with son Prince Harry looks set for further tension as the Duke of Sussex’s memoir announcement sparks fear within The Firm.

The memoir, which will also be published in an audiobook version, is to offer an “honest and captivating personal portrait”.

However, a source has claimed Harry may document his “fraught relationship” with the Duchess of Cornwall which could be very damaging to the Royal Family.

5.55pm update: Chelsy Davy’s Prince Harry romance so ‘real’ was ‘difficult to see Duke with anyone else’

Chelsy Davy’s romance with Prince Harry was so “real” it was “difficult to see the Duke of Sussex with anyone else”, an insider claimed.

Harry recently announced he would be penning and releasing an autobiography in late 2022, with proceeds of the book going to charity.

The 36-year-old made the announcement on his Archewell website, which he and his wife Meghan Markle post updates of their endeavours on.

Writing on the website, Harry said the book would be an “accurate and wholly truthful” account of his life so far, adding that he planned to write the book “not as the prince I was born, but as the man I have become”.

4.30pm update: Meghan and Harry ‘keeping receipts and documents’ to back up controversial claims

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been “keeping receipts and documents” to back up their controversial claims against the Royal Family, their friends have claimed.

Harry announced earlier this month that he will be releasing an “accurate and wholly truthful” memoir of his life so far next year.

But reports quickly emerged that royal staff were concerned about what the book may contain, as Harry could use it to “settle scores”.

It comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already shared a shocking insight into their lives in the Royal Family this year.

Prince Harry has been brutally mocked in a new satirical animated comedy – which has already caused a stir on social media.

Prince Harry is among the members of the Royal Family to have been portrayed as animated characters in the new HBO Max series ‘The Prince’.

The show, created by Gary Janetti, depicts with a parodic twist the day-to-day life of royals as seen through the lens of a heavily fictionalised Prince George.

2.29pm update: Lilibet Diana christening in doubt: Prince Harry told he ‘can’t have his cake and eat it’

Prince Harry has been warned that he cannot continue to criticise the monarchy if he wants his newborn daughter Lilibet Diana to be christened at Windsor. Angela Levin, who wrote a biography of Prince Harry, said the Duke of Sussex “cannot have his cake and eat it too”.

This comes after speculation that Harry and his wife Meghan Markle want Lilibet Diana to be christened at Windsor in front of the Queen.

Speaking to GB News, Ms Levin cast this into doubt in light of Harry’s latest commercial deal – a tell-all memoir.

Harry announced he would be releasing an “accurate and wholly truthful” memoir in 2022.

The royal expert discussed “how far” Prince Harry will go in his memoir deal, announced last week.

She explained: “I think he will go as far as possibly can.

“I don’t think there are any more boundaries for him.”

2pm update: Meghan Markle ‘should have known’ pressures of Royal Family life before abandoning UK

A source has claimed Meghan “should have known what it was like” marrying into the Royal Family.

They told Fox News: “Meghan should have known what it was like marrying into the Royal Family.

“I don’t know if this was all part of the bigger plan of things they talked about between them, but for Meghan to cause all the big waves in the Royal Family just to go back to a Hollywood career and break hundreds of years of traditions is unprecedented.”

1.15pm update: Anti-monarchy billboards going up across British cities are branded ‘disgusting’

The pressure group Republic wants the monarchy to be abolished and the UK to have an elected head of state instead of a sovereign. It has raised £16,000 through crowdfunding to commission 12 billboards which will be displayed this week, and a further 15 to go up in September.

The first batch will go up in Portsmouth, Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow and Aberdeen, and feature the message: “Secretive, Divisive, Undemocratic. Abolish the Monarchy.”

Further Billboards will appear in Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol and London later in the year.

But Bristol Live reports the campaign has already been met with a fierce backlash.

Writing on Facebook, one man posted: “This shouldn’t be allowed. Disgusting. The queen has worked way beyond retirement age for our country. She has done so much for us.”

Another social media user shared: “She [the Queen] is the one that’s keeping this country together.”

A third posted: “The amount of tourism money the Royal Family generate is massive.”

Another wrote: “The queen is the best thing about our country.”

However, Republic says recent polls show young people in the UK want a head of state instead of a sovereign.

Graham Smith, chief executive of Republic, said: “The monarchy is wrong in principle, wrong in practice and it’s bad for British politics. That’s the message we want the country to hear.

11.45am update: Meghan Markle deemed ‘the driving force behind Brand Sussex’, according to royal expert

Royal commentator Jonathan Sacerdoti told Sky News: “She grew up with, with high ambitions and started to reach them as an actress – putting in the work obviously not a terribly successful actress in terms of being well known internationally.

“She then married Prince Harry and then she has become probably one of the most known or recognisable names in the world just by marrying somebody.

“I think that shows an enormous amount of planning and ambition.

“I don’t mean to be totally unromantic – maybe she did fall in love with Harry, maybe their relationship is also one of partnership and love in that respect.

“But you don’t marry into the Royal Family, I think, without knowing what it’s going to do to your reputation and your exposure internationally.

“And then I think they’ve used that to their advantage, many would say is there is their right.”

11.10am update: Kate’s annus horribilis looms as 2022 to bring ‘added pressure and stress’ on Duchess

Royal commentator Daniela Elser believes next year won’t just mark a historic milestone for the monarchy but will also likely see Prince William and Kate start the transition from Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to future King and Queen in waiting. This will further put the spotlight on the Duchess in her royal role, expected to “put on a flawless performance”.

But, Ms Elser added, could also see Kate struggling to find a balance between her increasingly full royal diary and dedicating time to her children.

The royal commentator wrote on news.com.au: “However, part of next year’s events will likely be the Palace publicly positioning William and Kate as King and Queen-in-waiting.

“Coming with that will not only be added pressure for Kate to put on a flawless performance but she will have to find a way to deal with the very practical stresses of being a mum-of-three with a full-time (though highly unusual) job.

“Yes, the family might have a nanny and a housekeeper (and probably a battalion of other staffers) but William and Kate have time and again said they want their children to have as normal an upbringing as possible.”

10.05am update: Royal aides poised to take legal action on Prince Harry over Duke’s ‘inaccurate’ claims

Royal staff are said to be concerned about Harry will portray his version of events as he could be using the book as a chance to “settle scores”.

A royal insider told Mail Online: “Harry and Meghan’s former staff members are convinced that this book is being written to settle scores and will likely include a lot of detail about their time within the Royal Family.

“Based on the Oprah Winfrey interview, some of these ex-workers simply do not trust that a full and accurate picture will be presented.

“Conversations have already started about what steps they might be able to take to protect their own reputation and that of the monarchy post-publication.”

Another source added that “legal remedies” could be made available if the book “smears any individual staff members unfairly”.

9.21am update: Prince George parody in ‘cruel’ TV series sparks fury – ‘Leave children alone!’

Prince George is the protagonist of HBO Max’s new TV series ‘The Prince’, an adult animated show which portrays, with a parodic twist, the day-to-day life at the Palace as seen through the lens of a heavily fictionalised eight-year-old heir to the throne.

The show, which features key members of the Royal Family including the Cambridges, the Sussexes and the Queen, is being released today on the US streaming service.

However, its trailer has left many social media users fuming, with some branding the show “inappropriate” and “disrespectful”.

Royal author Omid Scobie wrote on Twitter: “Don’t particularly agree with parodying children but guessing I’m in the minority as @hbomax’s no-f****-given series #ThePrince hits the streamer tomorrow. Thoughts?”

In a second tweet he shared the messages of a few social media users agreeing with his take on the show.

One wrote: “Kids should be off-limits.”

Another said: “I don’t care for the family members that are still on that little island, but this is wrong on so many levels. Leave children alone.”

8.19am update: Meghan and Harry ‘good at developing convenient fictions’ claims royal historian

Dr Edward Owens gave his opinion on some of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s claims ahead of the release of Harry’s memoir next year, which he announced last week.

Dr Owens accused the couple of “developing fictions” which have “muddied the reality” of their relationship with The Firm.

He claimed Meghan and Harry had not been “entirely truthful” when it came to discussions about their finances, although the Sussexes’ spokesperson has denied any contradiction between their statements and Palace records.

Dr Owens claims: “Because Harry and Meghan made the [race] point in the interview, I anticipate that there will be some uncomfortable truths contained in this memoir.

“There will also be fictions as well, Harry and Meghan have been quite good at developing convenient fictions, which have muddied the reality of the relationship.

“They haven’t been entirely truthful, for example they said that they had been cut off from the royal family in terms of their finances, when that simply wasn’t the case at the time.

“Harry was still receiving for his security from his father, but they made out that wasn’t the case.”

8.07am update: Prince Harry and Meghan ‘astonished and upset’ Canadians wouldn’t pay for their security

In the Channel 5 documentary Meghan at 50: The Climb to Power, royal expert Tom Quinn discussed that Harry and Meghan did not “expect” to pay for their security and repay for the Frogmore Cottage refurbishment.

Mr Quinn said: “When they went to Canada they discovered the Canadians didn’t want to pay for their security and the Duchy of Lancaster didn’t want to pay while they were there.

“I think they were both upset and astonished.

“When Meghan and Harry gave the impression that they were hard done by, this produced a lot of negative press coverage because they have a great deal of money apart from not giving the security.

“They had to repay several million for the refurbishment of Frogmore Cottage and I don’t think they expected that.”
