After delay upon delay, Daniel Craig’s fifth and final James Bond movie No Time To Die remains set to hit cinemas on September 30 in the UK and on October 8 in the US. However, with the Delta variant spreading across America and in other regions around the world, some Hollywood blockbusters have been shifting release dates, with Sony’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage already pushed back to mid-October. And now a new report claims No Time To Die may not be able to delay further even if producers wanted to.
According to The Hollywood Reporter: “Sources say No Time to Die may not be able to push yet again at this point, as each restart costs many millions of dollars in marketing.
“Nor does MGM have a sister streaming service — at least not yet, pending regulatory approval of a deal to be acquired by Amazon.”
While Bond’s studio home of MGM has been sold to Amazon, EON Productions who make the 007 movies and own a stake in the rights are committed to a cinematic release for No Time To Die.
Recently Bond news site MI6 HQ calculated the new Bond movie’s box office prospects, which included marketing costs.

Within the data, the outlet claimed that Print and Advertising on No Time To Die came to between $150-200 million.
While the final estimation calculated that the Bond blockbuster needs to make a whopping $900 million at the box office just to break even.
During MGM’s investors call today, the studio boss didn’t comment on any specifics of the film’s upcoming release.
The current record is between 1989’s Licence To Kill starring Timothy Dalton and 1995’s GoldenEye which debuted Pierce Brosnan as 007.
No Time To Die’s synopsis reads: “Five years after the capture of Ernst Stavro Blofeld, James Bond has left active service. He is approached by his friend and CIA officer Felix Leiter, who enlists his help in the search for Valdo Obruchev, a missing scientist.
“When it becomes apparent that Obruchev has been abducted, Bond must confront a villain whose schemes could see the death of millions.”
No Time To Die is scheduled to release in UK cinemas on September 30 and in US movie theatres on October 8.
