A new poll conducted by USA TODAY/SUFFOLK University Poll, found his approval ratings have lowered to 41%. The crisis in Afghanistan has resulted in the President having a 55% disapproval rating.
The results come as thousands of people in Afghanistan continue to escape the Taliban rule.
This survey illustrates only 26% of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of the withdrawal.
Commenting on the poll, David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk Political Research Center, said: “Today, President Biden’s overall approval has taken a turn for the worse due to his awful job performance rating on Afghanistan.”
The poll was conducted before the G7 summit on Tuesday and a press conference in which Mr Biden left without answering questions from the media.
The media were heard shouting to the President and asking him whether everyone would be saved from Afghanistan.
In the poll 3 of 4 of those surveyed predict the Taliban-led country will result in a harbour for terrorists targeting the US.
Aubrey Schlumbrecht, a political independent from Colorado said: “He basically handed the Taliban all these weapons, and he’s inspired a resurgent ISIS now.”
“He is not even taking any responsibility. He says he owns it, but he’s blaming other people and he’s blaming the Afghan people themselves.”
In a press conference after the emergency virtual meeting of G7 leaders, President Biden gave a stark warning of the risk to the US troops and allies if they stay in Afghanistan past the August 31 deadline.
The US President said: “There are real and significant challenges that we also have to take into consideration the longer we stay, starting with the acute and growing risk of attack by a terrorist group known as ISISK, an ISIS affiliate in Afghanistan, which is a sworn enemy of the Taliban as well.
“Every day we are on the ground is another day we know that ISIS-K is seeking to target the airport and attack both US and allied forces and innocent civilians.”
In the coming weeks America is set to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Ryan Haugh, an independent from Camphill, Pennsylvania, said: “After 9/11, I think there was very few Americans that were against war at that point because of what happened with the World Trade (Center) and the Pentagon.
“But I think some of the reasons that we were there were the wrong reasons.
“And then, ultimately, if you look at the end goal, or the end game, where we’re at now, it’s kind of just like it was all for nothing.”
The US have evacuated 75,9000 people since the end of July.
