Meghan’s £500,000 hidden nod to Diana on Time Magazine front cover

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were praised by TIME magazine for having “compassion for the people they don’t know”. The couple can be seen on the magazine front cover, wearing contrasting outfits. However, not many realised Meghan appears to have made a tribute to the late Princess Diana.
Meghan is wearing both her engagement ring and her eternity ring from Prince Harry on each hand.
However, the Duchess appears to be making a subtle tribute to Princess Diana as she is donning her Cartier Tank Francaise watch.
The watch previously belonged to Princess Diana, and although Harry had initially taken his mother’s sapphire engagement ring, William asked him to swap so he could propose to Kate.
The elegant Cartier watch was then passed to Meghan when the couple married in 2018.
DON’T MISS
However, Meghan has been spotted many times wearing the Cartier watch, which seems to be one of her favourite pieces from her late mother-in-law.
Founder of Prestige Pawnbrokers, James Constantinou, explained: “Diana’s Cartier small Tank Francaise in 18ct yellow gold, on matching bracelet, is a classic and timeless watch, as well as a functional piece of jewellery.
“Diana also owned a rounder Tank Louis, but stopped wearing it in the early 80s.”
The jewel was a gift from Princess Diana’s father for her 21st birthday and it reportedly cost around £16,700 at the time.
Harry is behind Meghan in the photograph, wearing a black shirt and trousers, with his hand on Meghan’s shoulder.
Other pictures showed the couple wearing matching khaki outfits.
Meghan can be seen in black trousers, a turtleneck khaki jumper and a matching coat.
While Harry is next to her wearing a white shirt and a khaki suit.
